Purple Hibiscus by Chimamanda Ngozi Odichie
Hello guys!😊 Yes today we roll with Chimamanda Ngozi Adiche an African author.
Very opinionated. Her books are mostly about feminism, democracy etc.
Let me say I was very reluctant about this book. The truth is the only reason I went for it was because of the author. She very much likes colour psychology.
So, the book right?
This is of interest to me because of its age group aspect and the time of it. Imagine the main character is a 15 year old girl called Kambili living with her strict father (Catholic) whom she wants to impress and her mother who hardly even utter a word about life but worship her husband and a brother who also wants to impress the strict father.😳 I can imagine the drama already.
I am sure we all will enjoy the novel, it sounds fun already I mean our main character is woman in the year of the absence of feminism movement.
What do you guys think ?🤔
Let’s do this… 😊😊
